Align manufactures some of the best radio controlled model airplanes and helicopters out there. It is a well known company and each of its products is an indication of the quality that this company maintains, its difficult to see that their root were from making fridges.
One such model which displays the true class and performance of Align is the TREX 450 SE v2 RC Helicopter. This model is a slight variation of the TREX RC 450. In the 450 SE v2 remote controlled helicopter, Align changed the colour to a deeper and a darker blue. The rotor head was modified to take a spindle shaft of dimensions of 4mm. It was also modified to take the thrust bearings in the main grip. The frame layout was slightly modified to alter the battery tray angle. The gyro is now mounted under the boom block. Nowadays, people prefer the mini servos and hence the tail servo mount was also modified to accommodate the mini servos.
The TREX 450 SE v2 Heli promises unparalleled performance and superior quality. It improves upon its predecessors by a large degree. An interesting feature of the T-REX 450 SE v2 is its assembly. The frame is made from CNC SSG carbon. The dimensions are only 1 mm and this new frame is extremely rigid and sturdy. 3d flying can be achieved with ease. There are new aluminium parts as well now. These parts result in prompt and very fast reactions. The new battery mount is longer and connects directly to the main frame. This shifts the centre of gravity closer to the rotor blade and thus reduces the amount of control during rolling. The centre of gravity can be adjusted. The rotor is made from new aluminium CNC. This new rotor provides precision and smooth movements.
Some of the design features include a brand new metal head stopper. There is also a new main drive gear. There is a new fibre glass painted canopy. The tail boom mount is new. The tail servo is new as well. There is a new anti rotation bracket introduced. The rotor head assembly has been redesigned and given a new look. The battery mounting plate is new and is adjustable too.
The length of this model is 660 millimeters. It has a height of 230 mm. The main blade extends up to 325 mm. The rotor diameter is 700 mm. The diameter of the tail rotor is 150mm. The flying weight is an approximate 760g. Weight would be 450g.
The Align TREX 450 SE v2 is a brand new RC helicopter. It is an improved model on the TREX 450. This new model delivers on all counts and is much more improved and refined than the old one.
