  2. for seareas flying and 3d flying u wont a dsm 9x or beter the dx7 is veary limeted in its mixing capebiletys and the gimbels tent to wear more rapedely and a torc tube is beter for 3d flight as it eliments torck delay to the tail

  9. subzzzzzzzero Says:

@bensyer just stick with it and take it slow, a bit at a time then there will be no crashes. dx7 good tx. nice one.

I hope that me, i did not do rc fly anything i started with heli about 6 months ago, im 30 so it may take me a lil longer to pick it up, but im hovering fine can fly fwd and back, and side on hover well can fly the left side in but right side is alot harder, i baught a honey bee king 2 2 years ago man i could not fly the thing but picked it up again a few months back, educated my self alot, changed nearly every part on the king just to make it a good heli and then got a dx7

@RCxNZ nice one. glad it helps

  13. wicked vid an old clip but very helpful thanks

  14. Great Vid! I learned something, nitro choppers dont run air filters. I had no idea. I understand there not throwing up dirt from ground level, dust, etc. But i thought you would still need one for bugs or something. I guess not.
    Once again, great vid.

@MasterTubing thanks for watching. glad it was enlightening to you. cheers

That was a very informative video, well presented tutorial, certainly brought some enlightenment on nitro helis.

hehehe, i love my little 400, 10+ crashes, needs some very minor work this last one, 450, 500 clones are next, 450 is ready. 500 a work in progress, full CNC , carbon boom, supports, push rods

  18. I have the Raptor 30 and the Mini Titan electric both good heli’s in their own right and as you say pro’s and con’s.
Very informative but I see you have strapped your receiver to the frame without much padding, I always thought the more foam around the receiver the better plus on the 2.4ghz you do need to keep both legs of the antenna at 90deg angles to each other.
    Good stuff

  19. thanks for the headsup

if i do decide to go nitro i think i will just use my current dx6i, wont be doing much 3d flying or anything super fancy for a few good months or perhaps years :)

atleast i know my tx gear will work :D
pretty simple to pick up and program the dx6i too as a new 6ch heli flyer i found it to be a plesure to operate, alot better than my old fm radio, setting up the swash would be a nightmare if it wasnt for the computer on the tx lol

    thanks for your input :)

  20. subzzzzzzzero Says:

yes i think your right, most people give up with helis, it takes alot of time to get to grips with it, that would propably mean alot of crashes aswell. only the people who realy stick at it will fly a heli doing circuits etc.

  21. subzzzzzzzero Says:

i used a dx6 with my raptor 30, with no problems. your just limited to program parameters. the dx7 has alot more inside which means you can have many profiles for your style of flying..

  22. btw i have a dx6i with my b400, will this be good enough to run a big daddy like a 30 class or even a 60 sized heli?

ive read the electronics are very similar like the computer in the tx is pretty much the same,
exept the dx7 is 7 channel i think, i imagine a dx6i should still work, would save me a few quid than from starting from scratch i think :D
