Question by : Is it possible to get a webcam on a rc helicopter and control it by watching it on the web cam?
I want to get an rc helicopter and put a webcam on it, so it's kind of live a UAV.
What live cameras can I get?

Well it would take quite a great ammount of knowledge on the subject
for instance a wire less connection from the camera on said Rc Helicopter.
A good alternative would to maybe find a wireless camera that can connect.

    It would have to be a wireless webcam.
    Also, the helicopter itself would have to be rather large to compensate for the added weight. It would also have to be mounted just right so as not to throw off the balance.
    A hobby shop might have more information for you. I think there are special cameras or copter models for purchase.
    Youtube is also a good source.

    While cameras CAN be mounted on RC aircraft and/or helis, there are better choices than a “webcam”.
    You would also need a video transmitter, receiver, monitor, etc. AND the license to operate it.

    In addition, IF you flew far enough to NEED it for control, (to see where you were going,) you would be out of range of the control transmitter.

    They have small webcams for model trains but they may not be wireless. That is your limitation, you could not fly it far before it was out of range.
